Here's the first REAL campout. We went down to the Goblin Valley State Park, which is in Southern Utah. After we drove down we hiked in the funnest little canyon called Little Wild Horse. There were some very narrow parts and some very steep parts (at least steep for having a baby on your back!)(GO DAVID!!) I would climb up first and then we would pass the baby up and then david would climb up! It was so much fun! We called it quits when we had to climb and squeez through a narrow part over water! Maybe another day without a baby! That night we found a place and set up camp. As the sun went down, we put Benjamin in the tent with all the sleeping bags and pillows and zipped it up. David and I played WAR outside while watching the tent poke out at various times and places. After the tent settled down we went in and played Pinochle until our latern went out of batteries and we were left in the dark. Time for bed!! The next day was Goblin Valley. It was soooo neat! After a while Benjamin started getting a little fussy and we thought we'd been out for a good time so we decided to head back in. We thought we were just going around a large rock formation when we found ourselves looking down a steep cliff. We gave up that idea and went back the way we had come in. Benjamin had settled into a nap by then of course.
